Założenia (opisowo): | (tylko po angielsku) Master's seminar fulfilling the function of reviewing diploma theses carried out by all students of SD. Subject conducted in the room. If ordered to conduct classes remotely, it will be implemented on the platform preferred by the University of Warsaw, e.g. Google Meet. |

(tylko po angielsku) Obligatory seminar conducted by a coordinator and potential supervisors of diploma thesis topics. Students will learn about a wide spectrum of research issues related to sustainable development. During the seminar each student will present a topic that she or he is working on the master thesis. |

(tylko po angielsku) Obligatory seminar conducted by a coordinator and potential supervisors of diploma thesis topics. Students will learn about a wide spectrum of research issues related to sustainable development. Students works independently on their topics with close cooperation with potential supervisors. During the seminar each student will present a topic and research methods that she or he is working on the master thesis. |

(tylko po angielsku) The student knows and understands - the concept of sustainable development in relation to environmental and earth sciences and social and economic dimensions K_WO1; - environmental, social as well as economic challenges at regional and global levels and understands the interconnections between them; K_W02; - to a deeper degree social, legal and technological as well as planning and economic tools for implementing sustainable development in various areas of activity K_W05; - appropriate sustainability indicators K_W06 - to a deeper degree principles of preparing and writing a scientific paper K_W12 - general rules and principles regarding the protection of industrial materials and copyrights K_W13; - work interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral based on knowledge from various subject disciplines and institutional sectors in order to synthesize new ideas and concepts serving the environment and sustainable development K_U02; - ask critical questions and find appropriate solutions K_U04; - participate in international and local initiatives as well as academic and practical debates on issues environment and sustainable development issues K_U06 - identify the strengths and weaknesses of standard actions taken to solve environmental and sustainable development problems K_U07; - plan a professional career and apply the principles of sustainable development in their own work K_U08; - use modern information techniques (e.g. GIS, remote sensing) K_U09; - use English at B2+ CEFR level and specialist terminology K_U10; - communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with the community and professionals in various fields K_K02; - improving professional skills and observing the rules of professional ethics K_K03; - understanding the need to search for new technologies for implementing sustainable development K_K05 - care for the reliability and credibility of their research work K_K06; - respecting the rules of intellectual property K_K07; - entrepreneurial thinking and acting in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals K_K09 |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) Presentation, attendance control and continuous assessment, eg. activity, punctuality, discussions, workshops, at student's request: individual mentoring and coaching. The maximum number of absences allowed to be excused by the student: 2. More absences can be justified in accordance with the regulations in force at the University of Warsaw, e.g. on the basis of a medical certificate. Type of examination: pass/fail. Corrective examination based on additional work done. |
