  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

The student learns the mechanisms and rules of operation of various entities, especially states, on the international arena; finds to know and understand integration and disintegration processes in various regions of the world. The student gets to know the role of superpowers, regional powers, states of medium and low importance, as well as transnational organizations and corporations in international political relations. The student gains a knowledge about international diplomatic relations, bilateral and multilateral. The student can use terminology in the field of international political relations. The student is able to solve cases and forecast events on the international political scene.

The course is aimed at discussing different aspects of international poliitical relations in the 21st century, with a particular focus on Europe and the European Union.

Students get knowledge of the operation of various actors on the international arena and the role of superpowers, regional powers, states of medium and low importance, as well as transnational organizations and corporations in the international political relations. They learn how to understand different international political processes (e.g. integration and disintegration, globalisation, etc.) in various regions of the world. Students obtain also knowledge of foreign policy (including analytical aspects) and international diplomatic relations, both bilateral and multilateral. They can use terminology in the field of international political relations as well as currently important concepts, such as power politics or geopolitics.

- Has a thorough knowledge of theorical apects of international political relations as well as international processes, first of all the regional integration (K_W01).

- Knows the relationship between the regional (European) integration and political changes in the global dimension (K_W04).

- Has a thorough knowledge of actors in international political relations and their activiities in bilateral and multilateral dimension (K_W12).

Skills:

- Is able to observe, interpret and analyse international political relations and investigate relationship between political and other dimensions of international relations (K_U01)

- Is able to predict development of political processes in IR with a use of suitable methodology and software (K_U03).

- Is able to deepen its knowledge of political international relations and use it for research purposes (K_U11).

Social competences:

- Is able to prioritize data and select important aspects of international relations (K_K01)

- Is ready to be active in the political life in regional or international dimension (K_K03)

Assessment depends on the fulfillment of the following requirement:

Writing successfully the final written exam consisted of quiz and open questions.
