The course is organized in the framework of 4EU+ cooperation between European law faculties. The seminar is led by University in Milan and University of Warsaw, the classes are held in English and students come from Poland and Italy. There are six leading topics to be discussed: 1) Theory of harm in criminal law, 2) Justification of "necessity", 3) Mens rea of "negligence", 4) Individuals, corporations and their criminal accountability, 5) Penal populism in democratic liberal states, 6) Why to punish? The matter of justification. Depending on safety conditions the seminar is planned to be held in two sessions, one in Milan, second in Warsaw (three days stay covered by 4EU+ grant). Preferable dates: 25–27.04 (Milan) and 11-13.05 (Warsaw). If it will not be possible we would move towards on-line course. |
